Civic engagement should be simple, clear, and open to everyone. We are building a bridge between Parliament's public participation process and the people it serves.
Our mission
Voiced exists to make South Africa's public participation process easier to understand and use. We believe every person who lives in, works in, or cares about South Africa should be able to find bills that affect them, understand what those bills actually mean, and have their say before Parliament closes for comment.
Our vision
A South Africa where every citizen can easily shape the laws that affect them — where public participation is not a privilege, but a regular, informed, and powerful part of democratic life.
How Voiced works
From discovery to submission in four steps.
Find a bill
Browse every bill that is currently open for public comment. Filter by closing date or search for a topic that affects you.
Read the summary
We translate the formal bill into plain language, covering the current situation, who is affected, and what is being proposed.
Draft your view
Add your personal perspective to the pre-filled email template. Your opinion is yours — we just make it easy to express.
Send to committee
We route your submission to the correct portfolio committee email address and open it in your own email client to send.

Voiced is open, transparent, and independent. We believe public participation should be accessible to every person and organisation that cares about South Africa.
Where the data comes from
Bill text, committee details, and comment deadlines are sourced from parliament.gov.za and other public parliamentary records, including pmg.org.za. Plain-language summaries are prepared by Voiced; they are not legal advice.
Independent and not affiliated with government
Voiced is an independent civic-technology project. We are not affiliated with Parliament, the Government of the Republic of South Africa, or any political party. Our only goal is to make public participation more accessible.
